TRAILER: Red band trailer for “Sanitarium,” in which Malcolm McDowell’s voiceover freezes your blood
The horror anthology is back with a vengeance. Hot on the heels of V/H/S , The ABC’s of Death and others, filmmakers are revisiting fertile ground once plowed on the small screen in “Night Gallery” and “Tales from the Crypt,” and on the big screen in kitschy classics like 1982′s Creepshow. This time, the framing device borrows a page from FX’s “American Horror Story: Asylum” – it’s set in a (surprise!) sanitarium. McDowell narrates the trailer in his usual inimitable fashion.
It looks creepy as fuck.
Sanitarium also stars Lou Diamond Phillips, Robert Englund (!), David Mazouz, John Glover, and Chris Mulkey. It is currently categorized as “in production,” with no release date as of yet.

I’m not sure what to make of this trailer. I didn’t see much of a plot, so it looked more like a student short film. If McDowell goes nuts and kills everyone in the sanitarium, though, that would make it interesting.
